1. Who we are

PrezSwipe is operated by Prez Ltd, a company registered in the UK under company number 17292006 ("Prez", "we", "us", "our").

Prez Ltd is the data controller for personal data processed through the PrezSwipe app and website. This Privacy Notice explains what data we collect, why we collect it, how we use and share it, and the rights you have.

2. Data we collect

Account data: name, email address, login credentials (managed via our authentication provider).
Content you create: people you add, photos you upload, gift ideas you save, notes and occasions.
Usage and device data: pages visited, actions taken, IP address, browser, device identifiers and basic telemetry.
Support messages: any correspondence you send us.
Billing data: handled by Paddle as Merchant of Record — we receive limited subscription metadata (plan, status, country, partial card information for receipts) but not full card details.

3. How we use it and legal bases

To create your account and provide the Service — performance of a contract.
To generate AI gift ideas tailored to the people you add — performance of a contract.
To keep the Service secure and prevent fraud or abuse — legitimate interests.
To improve the product and fix bugs — legitimate interests.
To respond to support requests — performance of a contract / legitimate interests.
To comply with legal, tax and accounting obligations — legal obligation.

4. Who we share data with

Paddle.com Market Ltd — our Merchant of Record. Paddle processes payments, subscriptions, tax compliance, invoicing and refund handling on our behalf.
Hosting and infrastructure providers — to run the app, database, authentication and edge functions.
AI model providers — prompts and image references are sent so we can generate gift ideas.
Professional advisers (legal, accounting) where reasonably necessary.
Authorities where required by law.

5. International transfers

Some of our providers process data outside the UK / EEA. Where this happens we rely on appropriate safeguards such as UK / EU adequacy decisions or Standard Contractual Clauses with supplementary measures.

6. Retention

We keep your account and content for as long as your account is active. If you delete your account or ask us to remove your data, we will delete or anonymise it within a reasonable period, except where we (or Paddle) are required to retain it for legal, tax or accounting purposes.

7. Your rights

Subject to your jurisdiction, you may have the right to access, rectify, erase, restrict or port your personal data, to object to processing, and to withdraw consent. UK and EEA users may also complain to their local supervisory authority (in the UK, the Information Commissioner's Office at ico.org.uk). To exercise any right, contact us using the details at the end of this notice. We aim to respond within one month.

8. Security

We use appropriate technical and organisational measures (including encryption in transit, role-based access controls, row-level security on our database, and audit logging) to protect personal data. No system is perfectly secure, but we work to reduce risk and review controls regularly.

9. Cookies

We use strictly necessary cookies and local storage to keep you signed in and to remember preferences. We do not currently use third-party advertising cookies.

10. Changes

We may update this notice from time to time. Material changes will be highlighted in-app or by email.
